WATERLOO - Patrick Michael Paulsen, 53, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center after a sudden illness.

He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Waterloo, son of Daniel "Dale" Paulsen and Marjorie Severson Paulsen.

He graduated from East High School in 1973 and worked at Sears Optical and Action Optical.

Survived by his mother of Waterloo; three brothers, Sam (Bunny) Sewell of Naples, Fla., and Daniel Paulsen and Peter Paulsen, both of Waterloo; three sisters, Cassandra Taylor and Beth Johnson, both of Waterloo, and Krystyna (John) Miltenberger of Waverly; and a special friend, Julie Hook of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be directed to the family in care of Marjorie Paulsen, 1503 Prospect Ave., Waterloo.
