WATERLOO — Larry Phillips, 67, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

He was born April 7, 1946, in Boise, Idaho, son of David and Ruth A. Story Phillips. He married Donna M. VanDyke on March 19, 1971, in Waterloo.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School. He worked in the kitchen at Schoitz Hospital/Covenant Medical Center for over 40 years, retiring in 2004.

Survived by: his wife of Waterloo; two adopted daughters, Denise Albee and Joanne Mericle, both of Waterloo; and a sister, Ave (Don) Williams of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by a brother, David; and a sister, Rachel Amanda Phillips in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation for an hour before services Tuesday at the chapel.
