Word has been received here of the death at Vista, Calif., of a former Waterloo resident Martin Byron Skillman, 88. He died on Sept. 29, 1966 at the Casa Blanca Convalescent Home, there of complications incident to advanced years.
He was born in Waterloo on Oct. 28, 1877, the son of Thomas and Cornelia Skillman. He lived in Waterloo for 62 years, moving to California in 1939. He married Ina Kepler in 1900.
Surviving are his widow and two daughters, Mrs. Allen Fox, Vista, Calif.; and Mrs. Hans Frank, 652 Conger St., Waterloo and four grandchildren
Burial will be in Eternal Hills Cemetery, Oceanside, Calif.
