WATERLOO, IOWA - Ray R. Dinnebier, 66, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 11, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born June 7, 1940, in Independence, son of William and Iva Mae Bailey Dinnebier. He married Onalee Meyer on April 30, 1966, in Waterloo. She died Aug. 20, 2005.

He graduated from Jesup Community Schools in 1958. Mr. Dinnebier was a machinist at John Deere, retiring in 1988 after 30 years.

Survived by: a son, Kent of Clarinda; four sisters, Glenda (Dean) Allshouse and Evelyn (John) Hermann, both of Cedar Falls, Marsha Dinnebier of Tulsa, Okla. and Doris (Roger) Gust of Pendleton, Ind.; and a brother, Ralph "Bill" (Marla) of Independence.

Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Locke Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
