WATERLOO — Debra Fogleman-Wesley, 60, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Allen Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1953, in Carroll, daughter of Kenneth and Mae Bogatzke Fogleman. She married Joseph Wesley.

She graduated from Manning High School in 1971 and from Mankato State University (Minnesota State University) with an art degree. She lived in New Orleans for 12 years and worked as a dispatcher for a trucking company. She moved to Osceola in the late 1980s where she worked as a dispatcher for Jimmie Dean Co., then continued to work as a dispatcher after she moved to Waterloo. She returned to school and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in art education. She taught for the Waterloo Community School District and held positions in both elementary and high schools from 1995 to 2013, when she retired.

Survived by a daughter, Quinn Wesley of Lehi, Utah; two sisters, Nancy (Stephen) Muhlbauer of Manning and Carmen (Rob) Yancey of West Des Moines; a brother, Steven (Julie) Fogleman of Manning; nieces and nephews, Shannon, Mitchell, Justeen, Caden, Rylie-Shea, Rachel, Jackson, Stephanie and Brian; and other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, preceded by an hour of visitation. Ohde Funeral Home, Manning, is in charge of arrangements.

Debra’s hobbies included gardening, photography, music and art. She was an animal lover and owned three dogs, a cat and a horse.
