CEDAR FALLS - Hisako "Dee Dee" Allen, 71, of Cedar Falls, died Dec. 15, 2008, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Nov. 20, 1937, in Yonaguni, Okinawa, Japan, daughter of Kamet and Toyo Irimatsugawa. She married Harry James Allen Jr. in 1969 in Okinawa. They later divorced.

Ms. Allen was employed with Bishops Buffet as a hostess and server for more than 30 years, retiring in 2008.

Survived by two brothers and a sister, all of Japan; and her extended family from Bishops.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a brother.

Celebration of life services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with inurnment at a later date.
