Francis E. Kennedy

Services for Francis E. Kennedy, 75, of the Walnut Court Apartments, will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.

Mr. Kennedy died Wednesday afternoon at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born Dec. 22, 1906, at Waterloo, son of George C. and Celestia Edelen Kennedy. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed for 30 years in the shipping department of John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works, retiring in 1971.

He is survived by a brother, Craig R. Kennedy of 2528 Cottage Row, Cedar Falls.

There will be a rosary service at 5:30 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The body was cremated and there will be no visitation. Carter-Oppold/O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
