Funeral services for Nelson B. Nichols, 80, of 1017 Newton Street who died at 10:30 a. m. Saturday of complications resulting from advanced age, will be conducted at 3 p. m. Monday at Kearns Garden chapel by Rev. John Watterson, pastor of Free Methodist church. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Township.

Born in Mt. Vernon Township Aug. 21, 1863, he was the son of Luther and Sarepta Nichols. He married Mary Livingston Mar. 12, 1886, and the couple engaged in farming in Black Hawk County. He was a member of the Free Methodist church in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include one brother, Adelbert, of Colby, Kan.; and seven children: Harvey, of 1017 Newton
Street, Ralph of St. Paul, Minn.. Arthur of Woodward. la., Mrs. Eleanor Rudebeck of Waverly, la., Mrs. Bertha Lawrence of St. Louis, Mrs. Eva Hazen of Cedar Rapids, la., and Mrs. Fern Bartusch of Pleasant Valley, la.

His wife preceded him in death Mar. 6, 1931, at Cedar Falls.
