Dorothy M. Hall, 84, of Cedar Falls Western Home, formerly of Hudson, died at the Western Home Friday, August 4, 2000 of natural causes.

Dorothy was born July 9, 1916 at Tama, Iowa, the daughter of Orbie and Orrie (Vohres) Mason. She married Ralph E. Hall June 18, 1939 in Tama. He died July 2, 1984.

She was well known in the Hudson community, having been employed as assistant cashier at the Hudson State bank until retiring in 1981. She was an active member of Hudson United Methodist Church, the Tuesday Study Club and Hudson American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, Gary Hall of Jefferson, Iowa; two daughters, Jane Jones of Waterloo and Jean Williams of Norfolk, Nebraska; six grandchildren; a brother, Dick Mason of Portland, Oregon, and a sister, Betty Finsen of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Art Mason, and two sisters, Bernice Schulz and Esther Finsen.

Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2000, 10:30 a.m. at Hudson United Methodist Church with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Locke Funeral Home, 1519 West Fourth Street, Waterloo.

Memorials may be made to Hudson United Methodist Church or The Western Home.
