CEDAR FALLS - Services for Elmer E. Rasmusson, 87, of 1204 Washington St., recently of the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. He died Saturday at the care center.

Born July 15, 1896, in Butler County, he was the son of John C. and Mary Petersen Rasmusson. He married Ruth C. Bergstrom Aug. 8, 1918, in Waverly. She died April 8, 1970.

He was a Chevrolet dealer for more than 50 years. He was past president and chairman of the board of Peoples Savings and Loan Association in Cedar Falls. He was past commander of American Legion Post No. 237. He was the driver of the first motorized unit of the Cedar Falls Fire Department.

Surviving are a son, Jack of 804 Newman Ave.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Memorials may be given to the church.
