EVANSDALE — Katherine Louise Azbill, 92, of Evansdale, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Allen Hospital.

She was born Jan. 7, 1921, in Waterloo, daughter of Ernest and Myrtle Farr Beebe. She married Cecil A. Azbill on Jan. 21, 1939, in Waterloo. He died Nov. 11, 1994.

She was employed with Rath Packing Co. and later as an LPN with Schoitz Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1980.

Survived by two sons, Cecil of Evansdale and Gerald (Liz) of Maui, Hawaii; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harry (Carrol) Beebe of Cedar Falls, Lloyd (Margaret) Harp of Waterloo and Duane (Karen) Harp of Mount Auburn; and a sister, Darlene Bland of Mount Auburn.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Boxwell; a granddaughter, Louann K. Azbill; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kylee Fowler.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
