Cynthia Bruber was born June 11, 1950, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of James Robert and Bonnie J. (Boren) Aarons. She owned and operated dog grooming businesses in Cedar Rapids and Omaha prior to moving back to Cedar Falls in 1995. She volunteered with the American Red Cross on a hospital ship of the coast of Vietnam during the war.

Cynthia is survived by her daughter, Tina; sister, Bobbi JoAnn Aarons; brother, Jimmy J. Aarons of Waterloo and step daughter, Machelle L. "Shelly" Johnson of Waterloo

Cynthia died Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
