CEDAR FALLS - Glenn Bond was born September 25, 1928, in Lathrup, Iowa, the son of Glenn David and Frances (Henderson) Bond Sr. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1946. On February 6, 1949, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Ruth Workman in Cedar Falls. He then served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Glenn was employed at Viking Pump in Cedar first as a welder then in the personnel department, retiring in 1980. He enjoyed square dancing, served as a church usher for 15 years and worked with community meal for 4 years.

Survived by his wife, Evelyn of Cedar Falls, daughter, Lisa Jo Bordner of Cedar Falls; son, David (Carol) Bond of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; three brothers, John (Amy) Bond of Waterloo, Gene (Jean) Bond of Cedar Falls and Jerry "Butch" Bond of Janesville and five sisters, Ilene (Harvey) Johnson of Cedar Falls, Pat (Cletus) Weitnauer of Waterloo, Karen (Ron) Hillian of Missouri, Jan (Dan) Ruiz of East Moline, IL and Doris (Morris) Smith of Minnesota.

Glenn died Friday, April 2, 2004, at Cedar Falls Healthcare Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Bond and sister, Gwen Fredericksen.
