WATERLOO - Jibbo J. "Jim" Gerdsen, 72, of Ravenwood Care Center died at the center Friday. Oct. 2. 1998 of a stroke.
He was born Jan. 6, 1926 in Germany, son ot Peter and Anna Gerdsen. He married Kathariena Pecher on Sept 14, 1957 in Waterloo. She preceded him m death.
Mr. Gerdsen worked in the smoking department of Rath Packing Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He also worked for Cedar Skyline, doing maintenance in downtown Waterloo for several years.
Survived by one daughter, Margie Hahn ot Waterloo; one sister, Annchen of Aurich, Germany; one granddaughter, and one great-grandson.
Private graveside services will be Monday at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
