CEDAR FALLS - V. David Hulse, 59, of Cedar Falls, died at home Saturday, March 24, 2007 of cancer.

He was born April 29, 1947, in Newton, son of Vaughan Dimon and Elva Eva Anderson Hulse. He married Jill Lynn Suiter on Aug. 25, 1968, in Princeton.

Mr. Hulse graduated from South Tama High School, Tama, in 1965; received his BBA degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1969, and his JD degree from Florida State University Law School, Tallahassee, in 1972. He had been assistant state attorney in Florida and later was an attorney for the Florida Real Estate Commission. He then practiced law in Grundy Center; moved to Cedar Falls and was trust officer for the former Peoples Bank and Trust Co., Waterloo, for several years. His final job was in private practice in Cedar Falls, retiring in 2006 due to health.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, V. Darren (Jacie) of Aurora, Ill., and Matthew R. (Sarah) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Kara Lynn Hulse of Thermopolis, Wyo.; two grandchildren, Dakota Jordan Hulse and Ava Christine Hulse, both of Cedar Falls; and two brothers, Larry D. (Kathy) of Des Moines and Marc D. of Marshalltown.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorial fund has been established.
