Death of Waterloo Citizen Last Evening From Tuberculosis

John D. Peek, formerly a well-known and popular young man of the city, died last evening at 5:30 o'clock in Independence of tuberculosis of the lungs. He had been confined to his bed for eight weeks.

Mr. Peek was 33 years of age and had been, an invalid for the past 12 years. He was born in Black Hawk County and his mother, Mrs. Esther Peek, survives and is a. resident of this city. Three brothers: Dr. E. E., James H., and Theodore also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence of Theodore Peek, 529 Newell Street, where the mother also makes her home. The services will be in charge of the Rev. Charles H. Stauffacher and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
