Services for William J. Larson, 78, will be 11 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church, Alden, with burial at the Alden Cemetery. Mr. Larson died Wednesday at Lakeland General Hospital, Lakeland, Fla.

He moved to Florida from Waterloo in 1976. Before living in Waterloo he was an Alden resident and farmed in that area.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; a daughter, Marilyn Christensen of Sumner; a sister, Mrs. Zulah Ruby of Des Moines; two brothers, Orville and Henry of Des Moines and three grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Surls and Grupe Funeral Home Alden.
