Christopher L. Breitbach (1989-2013)

JESUP — Christopher Lorus Breitbach, 23, died at home Wednesday, May 22, 2013 of heart failure.

He was born June 29, 1989, in Waterloo, son of Lorus and Karen Couch Breitbach.

He graduated from Don Bosco High School in 2007. He attended the University of Iowa for two years and the University of Northern Iowa for three years.

Survived by his parents of Jesup; a sister, Abigail, at home; paternal grandmother, Bernice Breitbach of Gilbertville; and foster grandparents, Anne and Ken Fiscus of Marshalltown.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, A. W. Breitbach; and his maternal grandmother, Wanda M. Couch.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Gilbertville, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gilbertville, at a later date. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Don Bosco High School Fine Arts and Literature Program.

Christopher will be remembered for his love of good music, classic movies and great books.
