WATERLOO - Vernon N. Jensen, 77, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born May 5, 1929, in Waterloo, son of Nels and Jeannette Lula Huting Jensen. He married Bette Christensen on Feb. 9, 1947, in Waterloo. She died in 1996.

Mr. Jensen worked in production at Waterloo Industries and later with the Iowa Department of Transportation.

Survivors include two sons, Michael of Waterloo and Mitchell (Christine) Jensen of Evansdale; two grandchildren; two sisters, Jane Frost of LaPorte City and Carol (Wendal) Craft of Oskaloosa; and a brother, Dwayne (Regina) of California.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Darrell.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home. Public visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
