MRS. JOAN ROHOVIT

Services for Mrs. Joan Rohovit, 33, of 3916 Rownd St., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints with Bishop Gary Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Nottger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Rohovit was killed at 1:50 p.m. Saturday in a car accident on Hwy 218 south of Waterloo. Double services will be held Tuesday afternoon, also including seven-month-old Rochelle Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Foster, 2727 Garden Ave., killed in the same accident.

A memorial fund has been established for Mrs. Rohovit.

She was born April 1, 1936, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Maynard and Marjorie Gump Voorhees. She married Tom Rohovit in Cedar Falls First Methodist Church June 24, 1955.

She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, several church organizations, PEO, and attended Cedar Falls public schools, graduating in the class of 1854. She attended Cornell College, Mt. Vernon.

Survivors include her husband, father, 1221 W. 18th St.; four sons: Mark, 13, Kent, 11, Jeffrey, 5, and David 1; and two daughters, Tammara, 9, and Lori, 7, all at home; two brothers, James Voorhees of 1311 Hawthorne St. and William Voorhees of Richmond, Virginia; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Kay) Balke of Madison, Wisconsin, and grandparents, Walter Voorhees of Lutheran Home Apartments and Mrs. Gladys Gump of 710 W. 26th St.
