WATERLOO — Theresa E. “Terrie” Connell, 90, of Waterloo, died at home Sunday, June 23, 2013.

She was born Oct. 26, 1922, in Stevens Point, Wis., daughter of Frank and Anna Zynda Szymkowiak. She married Donald A. Connell in 1948 in Waterloo.

Terrie was employed with Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp. during World War II and later with Powers Manufacturing Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1984.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Cheryl (Manuel) Cruz of New York City and Donna (John) Chappas of Spirit Lake; a son, James (Theresa) of Batesville, Ark.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jean Hoppes of Sacramento, Calif.

Preceded in death by a brother; four sisters; and a stepbrother.

There will be no services. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is assisting the family.
