WATERLOO — Dorothy C. Crosier, 78, of Polk City, formerly of Waterloo, died at home Monday, March 22, 1888 of lung cancer.

She was born March 12, 1921, in Elizabeth, Ind., daughter of Ira R. and Amelia Scharf Shewmaker. She married Marshall D. Crosier on Aug. 21, 1940, in Corydon, Ind. He died May 18, 1990.

Survived by a daughter, Dorothy Nuehring of Polk City; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a brother,
William A. Shewmaker of Corydon.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara K. Crosier on March 20; three brothers, Jesse, John and Roy Shewmaker; and two sisters, Blanche Simmonds and Louise Preusz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m Thursday and from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the chapel.
