WATERLOO — William Arthur Hall, 77, of Waterloo, died Sunday, March 21, 1999 at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born July 8, 1921, in Lime Springs, son of William A. and Anna Schact Hall. He married Eva V. Williamson on Aug. 28, 1947, in Lime Springs. She died Nov. 10, 1989.

Mr. Hall was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II in the battle at Pearl Harbor. He was a Navy recruiter in Waterloo, retiring in 1959 after 20 years, then worked at the Waterloo Post Office for 16 years, retiring in 1976.

Survived by a sister, Hazel Wright of Marion.

Preceded in death by three sisters: Esther Mervin, Margaret Bower and an infant.

Private family graveside services: Saturday at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo.
