CEDAR FALLS — Doris M. Phippen, 84, formerly of 3815 Veralta Drive, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1994 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home of natural causes.

She was born May 20, 1909, in Charles City, daughter of DeMilt and Delia Shave Rowley. She married Donald E. Phippen Aug. 4,1934, in Mason City; he died June 20,1985. Mrs. Phippen had worked at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo,,and also for a jeweler in downtown Waterloo.

Survived by two sons, Roger of Cedar Falls and Larry of Unionville, Mo.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Leona Groesbeck; and three brothers, Rubert, Merton and Milton "Jack" Rowley.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Friday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services Friday at the chapel.
