SPEAR, JERGENS, WEIDLER, JANSSEN, PRUISNER

Services for Edward H. Spear, 78, of 1111 W. Parker St., will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Spear died Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital in Hanford, Calif., while on vacation.

He was born in July 25, 1904, at Chickasaw County, son of William H. and Sophie Jergens Spear. He married Alma A. Weidler Oct. 28, 1922, at Waverly. She died May 1, 1982. He was an
assembly worker at the John Deere Tractor Works for 31 years, retiring in 1966.

Survivors include two sons, Donald of Jesup and Edward of 2722 Fairlane Ave.; two daughters, Arlene Janssen of Mount Vernon, Texas, and Delores Pruisner of 2204 Virgil Drive, Cedar Falls; and seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday and at the church for an hour preceding services.

Memorials may be made to the church.
