Services for Wesley V. Jondle, 81, of 1110 Cornwall Ave., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Keams-Dykeman Funeral Chapel. He died early Thursday at the Americana Health Care Center. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Jondle was born Sept. 5, 1898*, at Fort Dodge, the son of James E. Sr. and Fannie Vanek Jondle. He married Bessie S. Olmstead on March 21, 1923, at Fort Dodge.

He owned and operated his own trucking business for 20 years, selling the business in 1958. He then was employed as a carpenter for Franciscan Homes, retiring in 1978.

Survivors include a son, Calvin J. of 1110 Cornwall Ave.; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Buxton of Osage Beach, Mo., and Mrs. Betty Kurtz of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Charles of Shellsburg and James Jr. of Fort Dodge; a sister, Mrs. George Harris of Fort Dodge; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in his name to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, of Northeast Iowa.
