WATERLOO - Andrew "Drew" Pearce, 22, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of complications from pneumonia.
He was born July 7, 1984, in Iowa City, son of Andrew Medhaug and Michelle Pearce Christensen.
He was a graduate of Waterloo West High School in 2002. He was employed with Windor and most recently with Bertch Cabinets.
Survived by his mother, Michelle (Randy Cooper) Christensen of Waterloo; his father, John (Kathy Harrill) Christensen of La Porte City; his fiancee, Heather Shinstine of Waterloo; a daughter, Kaeley Drew Pearce; a stepdaughter, Savannah; a brother, John Michael Christensen of Waterloo; a half brother, Andrew Medhaug of Arkansas; a sister, Chelsea Christensen of Waterloo; maternal grandparents, Paul and Glenda Pearce of Waterloo; paternal grandmother, Katherine Kelley of Evansdale; paternal grandparents, Lorene and Walter Christensen of Waterloo; and paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Spettel of Evansdale.
Preceded in death by his father, Andrew Medhaug; paternal grandfather, Dickie Lee Medhaug; paternal grandparents, Ida and Harv Harvel and Eleanor and Eckhardt Christensen; a paternal great-grandfather; and maternal great-grandparents, Glenn and Katherine Yeager and Henry and Lillie Pearce.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Drew was a great outdoor person who loved hunting and fishing.
