WATERLOO - V. Nyle Reetz, 69, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007. at Iowa City Hospitals and Clinics of complications from a stroke.

He was born March 26, 1938, in Waukon, son of H. Dale and Minnie Ericson Reetz. He married Violet J. Gilbertson Aug. 26, 1959, in Waukon.

He graduated from Waukon High School and worked at Calhoun Creamery, Churchtown, and then Waukon Creamery, Waukon. He and Vi moved to Waterloo where he owned and operated Nyles Water Service for 35 years.

He served as past president for the Waterloo Noon Exchange Club.

Survived by his wife; a brother, Neal (Sharon) of Charles City; two aunts, Thelma Reetz of Waukon and Elma Reetz of Dubuque; several nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents; and his stepmother.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Center Baptist Church, with burial in Center Baptist Cemetery, both in Lansing. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and from noon until service time Saturday at the church in Lansing.
