Kristopher Lee Walters, age 30, of Parkersburg, Iowa, was born the son of Kurt and Kathie (Toillion) Walters on January 21, 1981, in Waverly, Iowa. He received his education from the Parkersburg Elementary and then graduated from Dike-New Hartford High School in 1999. He continued his education and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in finance from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

On July 13, 2002, Kris was united in marriage with Marie Walterman at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Waterloo, Iowa. They made their home in Cedar Falls and then moved to their current home in Parkersburg in 2009. Kris began working for the Mudd Group in Cedar Falls in 2005, where he was currently Territory Sales Manager.

Kris’ family was his life. He loved spending time with Marie and his two sons, Brecken and Berkley. Kris enjoyed many outdoor activities such as: golfing, especially with his Grandpa Lee and Uncle Dennis, riding his motorcycle with Justin and friends, snowmobiling and skiing at Steamboat, Colorado with Marie and family, hunting with friends and clients, and fishing with his Dad and brothers. His all time favorite football team was the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kris died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, Iowa, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Highway 57 in Parkersburg. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Roger Toillion; an aunt, Janni Muller; and an uncle, Roger Arends.

Kristopher is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Brecken (2) and Berkley (10 months) all of Parkersburg; his father, Kurt (Michelle Bradford) Walters, Dike, IA; his mother, Kathie (Larry Aswegan) Walters, New Hartford, IA; brothers, Kreg Walters, Parkersburg, IA, Kasey Walters, New Hartford, IA, Justin (Rochelle Trainor) Penwell, New Hartford, IA, Specialist Stephen Walters currently serving in Afghanistan; sister, Stacia Walters, Parkersburg, IA; paternal grandparents, Lee (Bonnie) Walters, Parkersburg; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Toillion, Eagle Grove, IA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Cedar Heights Baptist Church, 2430 Neola Street, Cedar Falls, Iowa, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Parkersburg.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Parkersburg, (319) 346-1534, and will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
