Lucille M. Brown, 87, formerly of Waterloo, died on January 17, 2008, at Parklane Nursing Care and Rehab center in Wentzville, Missouri, of natural causes.

She was born on February 8, 1920, in rural Butler County daughter of Delbert Allen and Helen Schwab McConnell. She married Richard W. Brown in Waterloo on October 8, 1941. He died on July 21, 1974. She graduated from St. Marys High School in 1938. She was employed for many years in the office of Drs. Preece and OKeefe. She later was employed by Dr. Edmund AuYeung. She moved to OFallon, MO in August of 2005.

Survived by three daughters: Carol (Tom) Hayes of Shorewood, IL; Kathy Guthart of St. Charles, MO, and Julie (Doug) Greenwood of OFallon, MO; seven grandchildren: Scott, Mark and Jennifer Hayes, Shelley (Nabholz) Clark, Jeff Nabholz, Christopher and Abby Greenwood; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Preceded by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Helen Brown and Betty Anne McConnell and her son-in-law-Larry Guthart.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edwards Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a 4pm rosary and a 7 p.m. scripture service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church on Monday.

Memorials to St. Edwards Catholic Church or Columbus High School.
