Rose Catherine Leppert, 97, of Waterloo died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of advanced age.

She was born Dec. 13, 1909 in Dubuque, the daughter of George and Mary Meier Vogt. She married Peter Leppert on Oct. 9, 1930 in Dubuque. He died Oct. 4, 1989. Ms. Leppert was employed with Tempo Clothing Store and also a homemaker.

Survived by four sons: George (Mary) of Morris Town, MN, Larry (Nancy) of Dickons, Ron (Dixie) of Cheyenne, OK, and Jerry (Barb) of Conifer, CO.; five daughters: Donna Shock of Waterloo, Doris Fields of Mooresville, N.C ,Virgina (Ron) Cochran of Joshua, TX, Joan (Dale) Paschke of Ladysmith, WI, and Marietta (Paul) of Alma, WI; 39 grandchildren; 86 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; a brother Dan Vogt of Evansdale; three sisters: Florence Wilson of Milwaukee, WI, Bernice (Wayne) Eiesle of Waterloo, and Clariessa (Les) Allison of Mesa, AZ.

Preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Jaehrling and Sharon Hollrah; two brothers Ray Vogt and Leo Vogt; four sisters: Loretta Webb, Veronica Fohr, Gertrude Gierlach, and Mildred Eckert.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South St. where there will be 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
