CHARLES CITY — Theresa Linkenmeyer, 81, of Charles City, formerly of Waterloo, died April 19, 2013.

She was born April 20, 1931, in Ionia, daughter of James and Agnes Bolton Finnegan. She married Joe Linkenmeyer on Aug. 27, 1948, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia.

Survived by a daughter, Jenny (Max) Wildes of Evansdale; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; a stepgranddaughter; a brother, James Finnegan of Ionia; and two sisters, Annette Schmitz of New Hampton and Della Johnson of Nashua.

Preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick Finnegan and Jerry Finnegan; and two sisters, Madonna Bynon and Rita Smith.

Joint memorial services for Gilbert and Madonna Bynon and Joe and Theresa Linkenmeyer: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Ionia, with inurnment in St. Boniface Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Paul Johann Alta Vista Post 4069. Visitation will be for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
