Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Monday in Petersen Bros. Funeral Home for Myrle J. King, 53, who died at 3:20 a. m. Saturday in his home, 916 Glenwood Street. He had been ill of a heart ailment several years.

Rev. J. S. Deedrick, pastor of First Evangelical Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Born at Westover, Pa., June 24, 1889, the son of William and Rhoda King, he moved to Waterloo in 1904 and June 24, 1914, married Elda Mae Cox.

Employed in the wholesale department at the Rath Packing Co., for a number of years, he was retired in March, 1943, because of ill health.

Mr. King was a member of the Modern Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Krieg and Mrs. William Hagen, at home; two brothers, Wilson King, Vancouver, Wash., and Clayton King, Oelwein, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Whitson, Mason City, Ia., Mrs. Alvin Greenley, 303 East Mullan Avenue, and Mrs. Frank Wilson, Oelwein.

His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
