LAW, MCKNIGHT, JACKSON, PARROTT, BENNETT, FARRELL, BRADLEY

Harvey E. Law, 59, former Waterloo resident and brother of W. R. Law, former mayor and postmaster here, died of a heart attack Saturday morning in Los Angeles, Cal., according to word received by his sister, Mrs. Ellen Law Parrott, 127 Maple street.

Mr. Law had resided in California for the past 20 years.

He was born Nov. 24, 1884, on a farm near Hudson, Ia., son of William McKnight and Jessie E. Law, later came with his parents to Waterloo, was graduated from East High School in 1903 and later was graduated from the University of Iowa, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

He married Esther Jackson at Waterloo in 1910 and the couple resided in Belle Plaine and Mason City, Ia., where Mr. Law was engaged in the practice of law. They were later divorced.

While a resident of Waterloo, Mr. Law was a member of the B. P. O. Elks No. 290. He affiliated with the Episcopal church in California.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wendell Bennett, Nashville, Tenn., and a son, Jack Law, now in Florida after serving with the army overseas; two sisters, Mrs. Parrott, Waterloo, and Mrs. Jack Farrell, Chicago, the former Harriet Bradley Law of this city, and a brother, W. R. Law, Jacksboro, Tex.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph, on Jan. 5, 1933.
