Oscar T. Cover, 56, of 1560 Independence Ave., died at Allen Memorial Hospital at 9 p.m. Thursday of a heart attack.

He was born on June 12, 1905, at Dunlap, la;, the son of George T. and Mina Lantz Cover. He married Evelyn Krause on Oct. 2, 1930, at Waterloo. He had been a resident of Waterloo since 1929 and been a department manager at the Rath Packing Co, for the 32 years of his residence here.

Mr. Cover was a charter member of the Management Club at Raths. He received his early education at Dows City, and attended Iowa State University, Ames.

Surviving are his widow, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Neuroth of Sioux Falls, S. D.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Davis of South Sioux City, Neb.; Mrs. Ada McCord of Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Opal Jones of Dunlap, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kearns-Dykeman chapel. The Rev. Deane Chapman, pastor of Grace Methodist Church will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at the cemetery at Dunlap.
