FREDERICKSBURG — Marilyn Niemann, 76, of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born May 30, 1937, in Sumner, daughter of Arthur and Florence Lempke Weidemann. She married Gary Lee Niemann Jan. 4, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hawkeye. He died Nov. 1, 1996.

Mrs. Niemann graduated from Hawkeye High School in 1956 and then worked for Rath Packing Co., Waterloo. She worked for Meinerz Creamery, the local grocery store and Beatrice Foods in Fredericksburg, retiring in 1999 after 22 years with Beatrice.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg.

Survived by a son, Stephen (Peggy) of Fredericksburg; three daughters, Kimberly (John) Ficcadenti of White Bear Lake, Minn., Stefanie Niemann of Cedar Falls and Suzette (Jason) Byrne of Lawler; seven grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn (Mervin) Ungerer of Hawkeye; two sisters-in-law, KaRene (Don) Lehman of Bend, Ore., and Fonda Corson of Bettendorf.

Preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both Fredericksburg. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. day at Hugeback-Johnson Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, and also for an hour before services Monday at the church.
