CEDAR FALLS- Roland B. "Rollie" Connor, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born June 9, 1925 in Cedar Falls, the son of Ray and Frances (Bond) Connor. He married Margaret Larsen on October 5, 1956 in Cedar Falls.

Mr. Connor was a 1943 graduate of Cedar Falls High School. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was employed with Cedar Falls Utilities as foreman of the tree trimming crew. Following his retirement in 1987, he operated Connor Tree Service.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Cedar Falls; a son, Aaron (Jody) Connor of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Susan Connor and Lisa Connor (Gary Hall), all of Cedar Falls; and two grandchildren, Casey and Caitlin Connor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Connor.

Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church Chapel, with cremation rites following. Inurnment will occur at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Home, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Visitation also for one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
