Linda Ann Hallman of Cedar Falls died at Covenant Medical Center on October 2, 2005, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on March 31, 1947, in Cedar Falls, daughter of the late Reinholdt B. Fobian and Agnes Petersen Fobian. Linda married Dennis Hallman on Dec. 16, 1965.

Following their marriage, the Hallmans lived briefly in Mountain View, CA, returning to Cedar Falls in 1967. For many years Linda worked as a teller for Midway Bank in Cedar Falls.

Linda's greatest happiness was in her family and home. Other interests included collecting antiques and unusual birdhouses, and solving crossword puzzles

Survived by her husband, Dennis Hallman; a son, Thomas (Jenny) Hallman of Cedar Falls; daughters Teresa (Rob) Heckenlively of Waterloo, and Traci Hallman of Cedar Falls; a brother, Larry (Mary) Fobian, of Pacific Grove, CA; grandsons Tyler Hallman and Brandon, Holdt and Kaj Heckenlively; granddaughter Madison Johnson; a niece, Anna Fobian; and two nephews, Peter and Max Fobian.

Preceded in death by her parents, Reinholdt and Agnes Fobian.
