Edna Moore Colvin

MRS. GEORGE COLVIN, SR.

Mrs. George Colvin, Sr., 74, of 73 W. 13th St., died of pneumonia at 3:15 a. m. Thursday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital.

She was born Edna Moore July 2, 1894, at Independence, daughter of Samuel and Bertha King Moore. She resided in Waterloo most of her life and was married here Oct. 13, 1913, to George Colvin, Sr. He survives, as do one daughter, Mrs. Don Betz, Madison, South Dakota, and six sons: Acie Colvin of 2511 Lafayette St., George, Jr., of 73 W. 13th St., Donald of Pico Riviera, Calif., Earl of 1829 Bourland Ave., Arthur of 615 Keystone St., and Warren of 1118 W. 8th St., Cedar Falls.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, along with a sister, Miss Gladys Moore of 1727 Commercial St., and two brothers, Ernest Moore, also of 1727 Commercial, and John L. Moore of 1031 Chambers St.

She was preceded in death by four sons and parents.

Funeral services are tentatively set for Saturday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Thursday.
