CEDAR FALLS - Judith Mae Ritter, 65, of Cedar Falls, died at home Wednesday, May 20, 2009, of cancer.

She was born July 28, 1943, in Britt, daughter of Henry Lester and Mae Elizabeth Ennen Schreiber. She married James John Ritter on Nov. 7, 1964, in Oelwein.

Mrs. Ritter was employed as a computer programmer with Cedar Falls Utilities for more than 28 years, retiring in 2002.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Kimberly Ritter (Jeff Albright) of Cedar Falls and Jamie (Jeff) Stancer of Cambria, Wis.; three grandchildren; her mother of Eagle Grove; four brothers, Gerald (Mary Jo) Schreiber of Kanawha, Richard (Elaine) Schreiber of Garner, Kenneth (Julie) Schreiber of Knierim and Merlin (Michelle) Schreiber of Dubuque; and two sisters, Marjorie (Terry) Kuebrich of Montrose, Colo., and Gloria (George) Riekens of Lake Mills.

Private family services will be held Saturday, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
