CEDAR FALLS — Vivian Maxine Belz, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center.

She was born Jan. 1, 1925, in New Hartford, daughter of Clark L. and Olive Baldwin Yokom. She married Merle Belz on Nov. 28, 1943, in Cedar Falls.

She graduated from Finchford High School and was a homemaker throughout her adult life. She was a member of First Christian Church, Cedar Falls.

Survived by her husband; a son, Larry (June) Belz of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Elaine (Scott) Day of Keota; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Hansen; and a brother, Robert Yokom.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for an hour before services Monday at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.
