C. A. Morris, 83, Long Car Dealer

Mrs. C. A. Morris, about 77 wife of a widely known retired automobile dealer, died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday at her residence, 256 Alia Vista Ave., of a heart ailment and complications.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Mrs. Morris was active in the First Presbyterian Church and formerly had been active in the work of the Waterloo Symphony Orchestra Association.

She was born Ella Beltz in Cleveland, Ohio. She was married to C. A. Morris in Cleveland on Mar. 17, 1910. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1960.

Her husband, a civic and business leader in Waterloo before his retirement in 1955, operated the Morris Motor Co. here for many years.

Surviving are her husband, 256 Alta Vista Ave.; one daughter, Margaret, (Mrs. John Sage), 126 Prospect Ave.; and six grandchildren; Jerome Alfred Morris, John Joseph Morris, Jack Dotson, Dick Dotson, Bill Dotson and Diane Dotson.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Morris, who was killed in an automobile accident 10 years ago.
