INFANT IS SUFFOCATED

A 3-month-old Waterloo boy suffocated while in bed with his parents early Monday. The victim was Robert Allen Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wilson, of 1214 Wayne Street.

The fire department inhalator squad was called to the home at 7:45 a.m. and oxygen was administered for 45 minutes without response from the baby. Dr. Sydney D. Smith, county coroner, ruled the death accidental suffocation.

Parents told firemen the infant was in bed with them. They found their son with his head face-down in the pillow when they woke up.

Authorities estimated the infant had been dead about an hour before the inhalator squad arrived.

Robert was born Oct. 3, 1955.

The child is survived by the parents, Gerald E. and Donna C. Wilson; two sisters, Geraldine, five, and Dixie Lee, four; the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wilson, 1335 Wyandotte St., and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Helen Marvets, of 324 Gilbert St.

Funeral services are pending at the Locke Funeral Home.
