Services for Waterloo native Mary Fowler Swisher, 60, of Hinsdale, Ill., will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Des Moines at Dunn's Funeral Home, 2121 W. Grand Ave. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. She died Friday at a hospital in Hinsdale of cancer.

After leaving Waterloo, she had lived in Des Moines for 12 years before moving to Hinsdale.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Swisher of Hinsdale; a son, Stephen A. Swisher IV of San Francisco; a daughter, Susan Crane Swisher of Iowa City; and a brother, Robert C. Fowler of Weatherfield, Conn.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
