WATERLOO - Helen Buehner McMahon, 88, of St. Louis, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, in St. Louis of natural causes.

She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Waterloo, daughter of Joseph and Thelma Wilkins Buehner. She married Jerome McMahon, and he preceded her in death July 21, 1986.

She was a graduate of St. Mary's School, Waterloo, and was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Church until it closed. She moved to St. Louis in 2004.

Survived by three sons: Mike (Carol) of West Harrison, Ind., Tony of Santa Clara, Calif., and Tim (Lori) of Huntersville, N.C.; three daughters: Jeren (Werner) Siegrist of Chesterfield, Mo., Elaine McMahon of Waterloo and Kelly (Tom) Lachajczyk of University City, Mo.; her former daughter-in-law, Sandi Sider; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Michael "Bud", Joseph "Kink", Lee and Jim; and a daughter-in-law, Jan McMahon.

Graveside services: 11 am. Saturday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends may attend a celebration of life, following graveside services, at noon Saturday in Rider Hall at St. Joseph Church, Raymond.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
