CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Letha C. Bentz, 96, of the Lutheran Home, died there Tuesday, March 20, 2001, of natural causes.

She was born January 22, 1905, in Grant County, Wisconsin, daughter of Friedrich and Elisabeth Kabele Weigel. She married Oscar Edward Bentz on September 7, 1932. He died in 1983. Mrs. Bentz and her husband farmed near Platteville, Wisconsin, until 1945.

Survived by a son, Floyd of Des Moines; a daughter, Delores Frederick of Clear Lake; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, D. William Weigel.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
