WATERLOO - Robert Francis "Bob" Durnin, 38, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born June 5, 1968, in Waterloo, son of Cecil "Bud" Anthony and Mary Catherine Klein Durnin. He married Wendy L. Bargman on Sept. 8, 1990, in Waterloo.

Mr. Durnin graduated from Columbus High School in 1987. He currently was employed as a utility attendant at Target Distribution Co., and also at Red#'s Sound Room. He served as assistant coach for baseball and wrestling at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jake, Joey and Nick, all at home; a daughter, Haleigh Durnin at home; a brother, Dennis of Waterloo; four sisters: Denise (Barry) Render of Webster, Patrice (David) Thompson of Milan, Ill., Carolyn (Jay) Johnson of Des Moines and Charlene (Mark) Ott of Denver, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Marti Bargman of Dike; a sister-in-law, Stacey Rekward of Dike; and three brothers-in-law, Hugh (Kimberlee) Bargman of Dike, Marc Bargman of Dallas, Texas, and Brad Rekward of Wellsburg.

Preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Francis; and a sister, Marie.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be made to the family.
