Kenneth A. "Kenny" Mumm, 84, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday Dec. 1, 2007, at Allen Hospital of natural causes after a short illness.

He was born Aug. 5, 1926 in Voorhees, the son of Charles and Bertha Mastain Mumm. He married Norma Joan Rose on April 5, 1947 in Kirksville, MO. She died Jan. 4 2001. He was a graduate of Reinbeck High School. He owned and operated H & S Lumber for 25 years.

Survived by a son Stephen (Jane) of Marion; three daughters: Rebecca (Larry) Huisman of Cedar Falls, Vicki Crew-Mumm of Cedar Falls, Deborah Lynott of Mt. Vernon; 13 grandchildren: Michael Huisman, Matthew Huisman, David Lynott, Lisa Crock, Amber Buffington, Tyler Crew, Jennifer Beeker, Angela Mumm, Stacey Mumm, Edward Mumm, Emily Bearns, Jill Smith, and Natalie Mumm; 14 great-grandchildren and two on the way; his special friend Carmen Fisher of Dunnellon, Florida; six brothers: Leonard (Dot) Mumm of Reinbeck, Richard (Margaret) of Hudson, John Bud (Millie) Mumm of Hudson, Wilbur Mumm of Hudson, Raymond (Beverly) Mumm of Sacramento, CA, Gary (Avon) Mumm of Oregon; sisters: LaVonne Kerr of Hudson, Marlys Keith of Reinbeck, Charlene (Herb) Begley of Russell Springs, KY.

Preceded in death by a son-in-law Gary Crew; two brothers-in-law, Tom Kerr and Jim Keith.

Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Church of Christ with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Public visitation from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation also one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a benefactor to be named at a later date. Kens passion was living life to his fullest and he did that every day. He enjoyed volunteering his talents and time to numerous organizations his family and friends. His kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
