Services Held Wednesday For Joe Chalupsky

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Memories West for Joe Chalupsky, 79, of Hudson, who died at his home at 4:30 p.m. Friday of complications of a stroke. Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery.

Mr. Chalupsky was born April 15, 1891, in Irving, the son of Paul and Mary Pamatisky Chalupsky. He married Albie Masker on April 25, 1917 in Waterloo and worked for John Deere until his retirement. He had lived in Hudson for the past twenty-two years.

Survivors include his wife, one grandchild, Charles Patten; three brothers, Charles of Traer, Frank of Virginia, Ben of Vinton; three sisters: Mrs. Alice Allshouse of Vinton, Mrs. Emma Story of Reinbeck and Mrs. Libby Holub of Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one brother.
