[Waterloo Courier, Sunday, May 25, 1975]

Services for Paul Russell Neelans, 67, formerly of 1400 Garden Ave., will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Memories West, with burial in the Garden of Memories. Mr. Neelans died Thursday at 7:40 p.m. at his home at Holiday Lake near Brooklyn of an apparent heart attack.

He was born April 10, 1908, in Waukon, son of James and Mary Greenaugh Neelans. He married Nettie Gerholdt Sept. 16, 1926, in Independence. He was employed by John Deere Waterloo Works for 38 years, retiring in 1970

Survivors include his wife; three sons: James C. of Rt. 1, Robert D. of 1107 Upton Ave.. and Garry L of 1216 Northey St.; three daughters: Mrs. Mary Kostlan of Traer, Mrs. Dorothy Wilson of Salem, Wis., and Mrs. Marlene Simmerman of 636 Dawson St.; and a sister. Mrs. Evelyn Boccaleon of Nice, Calif.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday, until service time.
